Shine bright :: December Daily 2o13

Yes, this is not a mistake (this time), today I have few photos of my last year December Daily album. I didn’t finish it in 2o13 and I thought that I won’t make it, never. There was a day – a month ago I think, that I just set down and I finished it, just like that, in one day. It’s not nothing spectacular, no no no… but I am happy becasue I closed my 2o13 December memories in a nice cover 🙂 I chose few pick to share with you today. But before I start – first please check out the previous pages:

Mini book – winter theme.

It happened. This is a first ‚snowy’ day in Poland. Tomorrow I’m leaving to Madrid for a weekend so I hope I will grab some sunny weather before I will be freezing here. As I mentioned in a few posts earlier, I am going to teach classes in Bambola Casa Creativa once again. This time we will make two layouts and a winter theme mini book! I prepared the project almost month ago and today I want to share it. Becasue we had a fabulous and sunny autumn this year I didn’t have any ‚winter feeling’ photos to create the album. I decided to use some of my favourite Pinterest peeks and placed them into my mini.

This album is not very typical for me. Why? because it has a complicate construction which is usually ‚not my thing’. It consists of three tiny albums folded into one… it’s even hard to explain how I made it, but you have to believe me that it works, it’s possible to combine everything into one, fancy mini book. You can spy some letterpressed elements on the pages, also blind prints, lots of stitching and tiny watercoloured elements. I used inspiring Oh Snap Boutique journal cards and my favourite October Afternoon ‚Silent Night’ stickers.

Winter theme album 1

Oh Snap Boutique cards were my main inspiration here, but I think that October Afternoon embellishments suits great to this album. I mixed them with lovely Amercian Crafts, Dear Lizzy, Amy Tangerine and Crate Paper papers sponsored by ArtWorkshop, added few die-cuts made with Big Shot stencils and Studio Calico dies…

That’s all for today. I have to pack my lagguage and prepared for Saturday. If I won’t forget I will make some photos from the classes and will share with you after I come back. Spanish ladies are always so creative! I’m sure they will combine something spectacular with the kits. Wish me good luck and safety trip to Madrid and I wish you fabulous and creative weekend guys! See you next week!

December Daily :: 8th

I was waiting to you these ‚8th’ pages becasue I thought that I will fill the 9th and 10th, but I didn’t. So I won’t waist more time. I’m publishing my special December the 8th day now. Last days I had A LOT of logical work with preparing kits for my spring classes – and as you probably know – this is the hardest work for me becasue I just can’t count, I can’t think in a logical way – this is something what is a nightmare for me. I didn’t have time for anything else – only e-mails, notes, thinking, counting, writing… It is hard to come back to the christmas mood, but I will do that for sure! Well, stop talking, these is my next DD pages 🙂

December Daily :: 5th to 7th

I am here only for a moment to share my last December days with you. Below you will find my next DD pages. The first is about St. Nicholas Day which is related with lovely custom. When we wake up at the early morning we can find sweets and little presents in our shoes 🙂 Sometimes when someone was naughty during last year – he (or she) can get a little birch with ribbon. I changed this tradition a little bit and my son get little presents into his christmas sock (it’s visible at the photo) and a book under his pillow (it’s also popular custom in Poland at the 6th of December).

I created a simple pocket made with white paper bag at the back of this big, red project life card bought few months ago in Studio Calico kits shop. I embellished it and put inside a letter to Santa Claus which is written by my son. This is another family tradition in my house. At 5th of December evening, my son write a letter to Santa and put it into this huge red sock. When Santa comes at night to leave the sweets an a book he takes the letter – of course he have to know what Jan wants to get for Christmas! 🙂

I collected these Santa’s letters during last years and I love them! To remember the things that happened at the 7th of December I used my favourite ‚current’ project life card designed by Tina Aszmus which I received from Studio Calico. If you are interested in such special cards you can find them HERE below the current kits. Wish you nice end of this Sunday!

December Daily 2o13 :: 1st :: 4th

During last two days we have a very strange weather in Pland. It’s not typical for our country, but there is a big hurrican ‚Xavier’. Last night I couldn’t sleep at all – probably becasue of this weather. Also thanks to this situation – I finally made my December Daily album for this year!!! I am so happy becasue last days I was so unsure if it will appear.
I was thinking about few different colour options for this year, but finally I stuck in the traditional white/gold/red christmassy palette. I won’t write you about other options becasue maybe I will leave that ideas for next year 🙂 We will see, maybe I will create another – not december – album? Keep your fingers crossed!
In advence I would like to apologize you for the amount of pictures of the cover – I really can’t decide which of these photos I like most.

Year by year I’m trying to find the best title for my December Daily album. This time it’s: ‚We are all made of stars‚. Mainly I used materials which are coming from different Studio Calico kits from last year. There are Studio Calico ‚Magical’ elements as well. Special ‚thanks’ ale coming to my favourite Polish die-cuts company – Scrapiniec – and its owner Domi :* The rest are just supplies ‚from the box’.

I chose the same, small format as usually. I think that A6 is one of the best sizes for mini albums and it works great with different sizes of project life cards!

Let’s start with pages. I didn’t have a lot of time at the begining of this month, so there are not so many pictures inside. But I found some so today I can show you few first days of my December – from the 1st to the 4th.

This is an ‚opening-page’ of my album. It’s a pitty that the photos don’t show all the details, sorry…

A half of the first day of December I spent with my beloved ‚support system’ and best friend (in one person) in a beautiful city – Rome. At the end of the days I was sitting at home and hugged my son after almost all week we spent separately.

At the forth of December, the tree of us went to the cinema to see the latest Disney’s movie – ‚Frozen’. In the ‚secret’ pocket I hid the tickets. And these are the end of my first four days of this month. If you are interested in the detials photos please ivist my Studio Calico gallery. Tomorrow I will publish days 5th to 7th :* Thank you so much for visiting my blog! :*
