Marks & Co. reveal

Guess what 🙂 It’s reveal time once again! Do you also have such impression that time flies?! Back to the point – this month kits are full of new CHA releases – how exciting is this?! This month I grabbed all of the scrapbook and PL kits.

I haven’t had a lot of time to play with August kits because of my UK trip but – also because of this trip I have a lot of new photos waiting for their own layouts. Some of them already have pages, made with ‚Marks & Co.’ kits.

This one is my [Main Kit Only] Marks & CO. Scrapbook layout with my ‚first ever’ stitching on it – not perfect but fun.

Do you see how many new things here?! Brand new papers from Dear Lizzy, Amy Tangeringe, stitching template, stamps… oh love! This is the next layout made with the rest of scrapbook and Project Life kits which are:

This is favourite layout for this month – I adore the crazy mix of colour here, and stamps – lovely stamps this month, and PL card from the Steinback PL add-on.. and this old photo…

Upcycling envelope acccent tutorial

Hi everybody! It’s good to see you here even if the weather is so beautiful in the middle of summer! I prepared something „nice and easy” for you a few weeks ago, but I forgot to publish it on my blog – sorry. This tutorial apeeared on Studio Calico blog a few days ago – so it’s possible that you are already familiar with it.

All of us receive our Studio Calico kits in beautiful boxes where we can find some fancy paper bags and tiny, sweet glasine envelopes.  I would like to show you, how you can use such lovely element like this little, vellum envelope on your layout or in mini album.

First you should combine the basic composition of your layout: collect the proper shades of papers and embellishments which are work well with the rest of the elements.

Choose one of the glasine bags (I chose the sqaure one from the July Scrapbook Main Kit), and try to take the SC label off.

Stick one of the circle labels from the October Afternoon set which you can find in ‚Molly‚ – scrapbook add-on 3.

Stamp one of the circle motives on the label (I used a stamp from ‚You & Me’ Project Life Stamp Set Only).

Make a little hole in the middle of the motive, choose one of the brads from the OA set ( ‚Matthew‚ scrapbook add-on 1) and embellish the envelope.

when the closing is ready you can add some more stamps to make your embellishment more interesting  🙂 I used a lovely stamp from the ‚Inked’ class exclusive stamp set.

Now sticked the envelope to your page. tadaaaammm!
I created a layout with a photo of my son who lost his tooth and I hide this little peace of him in this little glassine bag (I won’t show it to you because I don’t think it’s interesting for any of you 🙂 well you have to trust me that it’s there).

Bambola Workshops!!!

Hi everybody! I am happy that I can finally announce you that we will meet in Spain in September and October!!! I will be teaching four classes in lovely Bambola shops in Madrid (28th of September) and next in Valencia (6th of October)!!!

During each classes I will focus on different techniques and issues. I will show you how to create a subtle layout using a specific range of one colour, and on the other side how to compose a bold page in a bright colour palette. I will also combine with you art-journal pages almost step by step! I will tell you about a lot of inspirations around us, I will give you a lot of ideas where you can find them, and how you can use them in your artistic notebooks! All of these projects are combine on a various palettes and in all of them I teach different mixed-media actions which can be used in your day-by-day creations. I hope it will be time full of inspiration where you find a lot of answers on your mixed-media questions.

I will be your guide in this watecolour valley. You will see how to mixed the colours and what effects you can get using simple tricks. I will show you how to create different kind of splashes and… doodlings – this is a funny technique looks like baby’s doodles on a first sight. But there is a secret hidden on my pages and if you know about it – you will be a master of penciling!
