‚Front Row’ :: Studio Calico PL kit!

front_row_headerToday we have a ‚Front Row’ Project Life kit!  This was my first PL kit ever and I am super excited about this! I use almost all of my PL cards to make layers on my pages… and I combine a mini. Let’s start from the beginining.

This is a February’s ‚Front Row’ PL kit… OK, I’m speechless 🙂 I don;t know where to start! Do you see those cards?! this wooden one with ‚&’?! and this one with this AMAZING ‚to the moon & back’ print?!!! I was so inspired by these tiny things! And these are my creations inspired by these cards and details:

to the moon & back SC

I think this is one of my favourites layouts this month. I took the photo of my sweet child from the early morning houres – as you probably know our children are most lovely when they are sleepy or just after they wake up, so… I thought that this amazingly sweet Project Life card from the PL kit will be perfect for this layout.  I cut some pieces of different blue papers and combined them like a collage. I added a little bit of gesso here and there and some watercolours in blue/yellow palette.  I also add this month’s printables – I adore them – as always 🙂  You can find here some pencil doodlings and stamping. I used the PL stamp set from the PL kit.

This page is something extraordinary for me because usually I don’t use brown and beige – I really don;t like much these colours. But this time I was so inspired by these amazing PL cards from Project Life kit. I couldn’t resist myself!

beautiful morning SC I found these twins photos and composed a basic composition build on a square. And here – I stucked. I had no idea what to do next and finally I decided to use my favourite motive – triangle – and duplicate it in several sizes. The composition of all these triangles is like a whole piece of patterned paper – this was my second option (but I use this trick in my previous layout so this time I decided to spent more time to create this part of composition). I cut some triangles in my baze and covered them with different patterned papers from the add-ons. In the end of my work I added some wood veneer embellishments: arrows and lovely star. Of course I didn’t forget about doodles and splashes.

This is so ‚me’! 🙂 I love to work with my everyday photos. The meaning fo this page is so simple. I had a bad day. Really BAD day. I was stressed and unhappy. When I saw these beautiful shades of mint and blue I though – I’m in ‚blue mood’ today, so this must be a sign! I have to make a blue/mint layout!

bad day SC

I used some PL cards from the PL kit, some printables , amazing stamps from the PL stamp set and little embellishments. The whole composition is simple – almost nothing. It was like a puzzles. I have nothing to add to this description. I didn’t think then, I just feel these colors.

What’s going on?! I made another ‚brown/beige’ layout?!! Is it still me?!! Well, yep. This is still I, Anna-Maria 🙂 I was so inspired by these amazing PL cards! Look at this awesome wooden ‚&’ card! How could I not use it somewhere?!

I just cut it a little bit (I will use the second part later, in the other project).  So this ‚&‚ card is the main inspiration for the whole page. And the rest is just the composition over the main detail… ok, and I love this photo – from the ZOO.

And for the desert… I made a really MINI album using Project Life cards from PL kit as a base. I had a few photos from my son’s last b-day (January 2o12) and I used them to make this little memorabilia. We have our b-day tradition – it will be the sixth year when the whole b-day eve we spent the night at blowing ballons. Last year – as you can observe on the photos – I create a kind of ballons curtain on his door.

00 b-day tradition
I took some PL cards and printables and fold them to this mini book. My son adore this full of colour album and keep it on his shelf 🙂 How do you like the idea of this PL mini?

It was a loooong post, but that you if you are steel here! 🙂 I still have a lot of pages to share. Have a good day everybody! :*

Studio Calico… Wednesday? :)

This is the last Studio Calico Block Party post with last two layouts made with these January kits.

I create this layout using almost only Main Kit. I decided to fit the whole palette to this adorable picture which have been taken almost two years ago at the Polish part of Baltic Sea. We were walking and looking for some treasures like for examples ambers 🙂 If you are patient you can firn them on the beach after storm…

treasures SC
I used a lot of grey and some yellow accents. I made my own hande-made ‚SEA’ stencil especially for this layout. I think I might be crazy because I draw and cut this ‚S’ by myself (!!!) But it’s ok… I made it.

Besides – if you have CAMEO – use it, don’t be so overzealous as I am 🙂  I hope you  like this creation.

This is my second layout for today, I had a perfect photo just waiting for this palette! I usually don’t use a lot of this shade of green in my projects, so it was a great opportunity for this picture 🙂

I decided to play with some yellow and green Mister Huey’s mists here, I added some colourful splatters here and there and I used a circle as a main motive on this page. I cuted first circle from the vellum – it’s in the Block Party Main kit – the second is Studio Calico Circle Graph mask… you can also find some circles on printable tags and enamel dots.

BCN detail 2
We have a lot of warm colours here but I think it’s good because they fit to the picture and BCN theme.  When I was finishing my work I added a bit of tangled threads. And that’s it 🙂

Studio Calico :: Sunday

It’s that time again – the sweet Sunday post with my Studio Calico Block Party kits layouts. It’s not a secret anymore that I love the January kit, truly adore 🙂

This is one of my favourites layouts this month and it calls: ‚Maybe I will build my house on your cloud’. I made it as my third project. I love it so much because I used here my favourite cold colours – blue, cyan and green. I adore this mix. I mixed the main kit with the products coming from Pollard Avenue (Add-on 1) and Woodbrook Road (Add-on 4).

Good Life SC

I used some Mister Huey’s mists and Circle Graph mask – this is one of my favourites. I also used a ‚triangle’ stamp and blue chalk ink to make a patterned stripe below the picture. I make some pencils doodles and next I staggered some circles, splashes, little stars, enamel dots and brads away from the photo. In the right corner you can find on of the wood veneers bubble – I really adore them!

This is my last project create with Block Party kit. Once again I use a colour scheme with yellow and blue, but this time the shade of blue is almost navy and it’s coming from the picture.

rise & shine

These are the photos of my dear son who is an early bird… I don’t like it much :/ I like to sleep till 9/10am, but when he comes under my quilt and smile from ear to ear I have no choice – I also smile 🙂  I made here some vellum sunbursts – the motive that I like a lot last months. I tried to stay in a ractangle composition in the centre of the base. Even if this layout is static it’s not boring because of those „messy” elements like: tangled threads, pencil doodlings and some black ink splashes. I always remember about stamping dates – my favourite for that lately is Studio Calico roller date stamp! Oh, and I have to add that I am totally in love in these tiny red alphabet stickers!!! They are absolutely fab!

Studio Calico :: Saturday

Hello! This is a first Saturday after Studio Calico Reveal and I still have a lot of layouts made with Block Party kits to show you! So let’s start 🙂

the apple of my eye SC

This is my son Jan. He is my greatest inspiration, the apple of my eye 🙂  I found this photo which I made in the begining of 2o12 and I decided to finally scrap it! I found some lovely embellishements in the January’s kits. I mixed here the main kit with different add-ons. This time I also create a pattern using the circle stamp from Westbrook Road add-on and red chalk ink.  I’m a little ‚eco-freek’ so I also recycling a piece of chipboard’s package as a backgroud of the layers.  I decided to stick with red and blue as the main colours of this page. I used some lovely printables – beacuse I loooooove printables so much!

apple 2

And here is the second layout I have for you today – it calls „We’re going places” 🙂

on the bridge SC

I really like this picture so my idea was stay in rather clean & simple convention. I am not very c&s girl so it’s always hard for me to make such decision.  I wanted to used this printable speech bubbles – I think it’s really well designed!  I played with some gesso and watercolours – as always on my projects. The colour palette has been a favourite of mine this month. I think that light shade of blue and bold yellow fit perfectly together. I can’t get enough!  I love doodling on my pages lately so I add some multiple circles on this one too.

hello world 2
