Neverland…

MARCH-FRONTROW-KITHEADER-STARS

„So come with me, where dreams are born, and time is never planned. Just think of happy things and your heart will fly on wings, forever, in Never Never Land…”

I felt like I could fly when I opened my Studio Calico box in the begining of February! Yes – I’m addicted, I grab all the add-ons (Tink, Lost Boys, Wendy and Hook) as well as the Main ‚Neverland’ Scrapbook kit and Project Life kit! I made a lot of layouts and one mini album. Today I will show you only a few of them 🙂 Enjoy.

Have BIG DREAMS.

This is my first layout made with March kits – it’s only ‚Lost Boys’ page.  I choose this dreamy, watercolour paper as a base and found a proper picture. I past my photo with some printables and add a little bit watercolors and mist here and there. I decided that this adorable moon stamp will be the main part of the composition. Next I created a kind of garland and added a piece of custom white thread. I didn’t forget about the doodlings – this time I use also an Uni-Ball white pen.

happy fairy

This is my ‚girly’ proposition for this month 😛 sweet, little fairy. The base is coming from the Main Kit – I just added some craft scraps of paper and an old newspaper. Little PL cards with a sweet fruit pattern suit perfect here. I didn’t forget about gesso and watercolours and mists. I also use a piece of adorable masking tape from the PL kit.

Trouble

Once again I took an old holiday photo I made last year at the seaside. But this time I added more colours to this palette. I decided to use almost all circle embellishments from all kits and add-ons, and printables 🙂 I mixed them all and combine this ‚circle’ layout. Of course I added the doodlings and vertical stamps made by NEW phrase roller stamp by Amy Tangerine from the Main ‚Neverland’ Kit.

Marseille

You will never know how much I love this paper from the ‚Wendy’ kit until you touch it! I add some scraps of papers from the other kits, some printables. I added a few arrows and a title created from amazing wooden Amy Tan thickers. Unfortunately you can’t see it on the picture but there are some watercolours on this page also – if you are interested just check the close-ups 🙂

If you want to see my whole gallery now – just click HERE 🙂 Please don’t forget about digital files! I ADORE printables and I use them a lot in all my creations. Here you will find some ‚Neverland’s ones: HERE.

broken blots

PP kopiaHi! This is my new article wrote for Dear Lizzy PAPER PARTY! Last time you receive from me some basis of watercolour painting that enable you to create an unusually attractive background for your layouts. And now let me share with you the secret of wonderfully broken blots. For this effect use quite a big, round brush (no. 10 at least), moist it with water, then with a significant amount of paint. Placing the brush quite far away from the cardboard (you should preferably put the cardboard on the floor, stand over it and keep the brush high above the ground) wait until the drop of paint falls on the base. It is, naturally, a quite risky method as it is really hard to foresee the final place where the drop falls, but it is, undoubtedly, very spectacular.

This time I was inspired by this green picture – I love it! It was a beautiful, sunny day and we were playing, and hide and seek in the corn field. I took some amazing photos and this is one of them. I was inspired by all of those shades of green.

I used some ILS ‚Divine this Line’ papers to create the base of this layout and my favourite greens from Dear Lizzy ‚Neapolitan’ collection. I cut and piece of ‚5th & Frolic’ die-cut, ‚Neapolitan’ sticker and rub-on and awesome ‚5th & Frolic’ clear stamps. You can also find here an amazing, wide, rainbow Studio Calico washi tape from the February ‚Front Row scrapbook main kit.

We will be  playing with gesso, watercolours or other mediums you will bring for the classes. There are still a lot of free places on these classes so don’t let them wait for you so long! The sponsores of this class are:

ILS, Studio Calico , SODAlicious and Color Conspiracy. Here are the sneaks:

I hope we will meet there! I love this city, I adore French girls and their creativity – I can’t wait to see your minis and layouts!!! If you have any questions please ask here, below this post!
Have a beautiful day! We have a greatcome back of winter – but I hope it will disappear soon… I miss spring so much…

……………………

MATERIALS you have to bring for the classes:

gesso, watercolour media (it depends what do you have at home and what you will like to use, or learn how to use): watercolours, colour inks, ecolines, Faber-Castell gelos, Mister Huey’s mists, October Afternoon mists or other mists (all of them are good enough), watercolour crayons; a pencil, a black pen, minimum two different brushes (rather small ones, one soft and one hard), black china ink, black stamp ink, various stamps (a date stamp, different roller stamps will be good… arrow stamps), scissors, glue, double-sided tape, adhesive foam (!), crop-a-dille/scraparatus or other whole-make things, a ruler.
About the pictures – I used only black and white photos to all of these projects. Most of them have a square shape – like from Instagram. Not bigger than 7x7cm, but we will handle with all what you will bring for the classes. Brighter photos are always better for my classes.

We’re going places…

PP kopia Hi everybody! Yesterday on PAPER PARTY blog Lizzy published my second article about ‚LAERING TIPS’. Last time I wrote a few words about creating layers using papers and embellishments. This time – as I promised you it before – I will concentrate on a simple watercolour media layers. This will be very subtle and delicate effect.
If you want to try you will need watercolour paint or custom mists, colour inks or Faber-Castell gellos – anything you have will be enough to try and decide do you like this technique or not.

You can use the watercolours directly on your paper but I encourage you to prepare a simple gesso base before you start. It’s not such difficult as it appears. You just have to spread a little bit of gesso or white acrylic paint here and there near your photo and leave it till it dry. The next step is more complicated and I will focus on it in the article. If you are interested in this technique please click

>>> HERE <<<

and read these few words on Paper Party site.

Next time I will add some others watercolour techinques for you. I am waiting for your creations in the comments below Paper Party post!

I used here ILS papers from VIVID and Summer Dreamer collections, Dear Lizzy ‚5th and Frolic’ stickers and die-cuts and Chic Tags labels.

Watercolour tips and more…

Hi!!! I have a next Studio Calico ‚Front Row‚ kits layout for you today. This one is full of watercolours and…  OK, this is a project ‚with a wink’ 🙂  But even if it’s a kind of joke, you have to admit that my hubby is pretty cute, aren’t he? 🙂
The idea of this layout has its roots in the Main Kit, more precisely – it’s all about the huge rainbow washi tape in the Scrapbook Main Kit. I was looking on it and think, think, think… and I finally decided to make something with a lot of watercolours. I try to paint something what suit to this green/blue washi.

God Dam you are handsome
I took a white cardstock, and started from the top of my layout. Next I add some PL cards and embellishments from the Project Life Kit, a pretty button form the Add-on 4 and a few things from the Main. I didn’t forget about the February’s printables 🙂

handsome 2

I also used these adorable wood veneer letters from a Darling Dear collection. You can find them in a Studio Calico shop.
