Antiquary :: sunny October

OCT-Reveal_Page_header

This is a second part of my October’s ‚Antiquary’ gallery. In this part you will find more subtle shades, lots of greens and yellows, the mood of warm, autumn afternoons.

Let’s start from my favourite. I looooove late summer afternoons! This warm sun light everywhere, the smell of grass… the pictures shows one of such moments. I collection this warm paletter with an accent of lovely green to give you a piece of my happiness 🙂 a little bit of chocolate brown, yellow sunrays, gold…

NOT the end

Pale, feminine layout with a lot of flowers cuted from the Dear Lizzy patterned paper. Some pastel mists used as a watercolours on a gesso base, simple composition and ‚selfie’ photo 🙂 I can’t add nothing more about this project.

hello love

My October’s Main Kit Only is simple and full of soft, autumn and feminine colours. I decided to contrasted them with this amazing photo of my friend’s daughter who loves to play with… Buzz Astral which is not very common for little girls who is almost 4… I adore this month’s main kit and amazingly beautiful printables! I am also in aw! about these outstanding bright green, transpaent alphabet!

Buddies

I’m sure it will be your favourite project this month… I feel it! remember my fallish layout inspired by PL spread composition ‚Do you like autumn?’ – this project was the first one. These greens and cyans inspired me so much! I used some PL cards from the ‚Dublin’ Project Life add-on, recycled galcine bag, pieces of patterned papers. It was so fun! I adore the idea of Project Life and I think I will start this new adventure soon…

I also used here an amazing watercolour PL card designed by Tina! I hardly recommend you these beauties!!!

It’s hard to believe that this is the tenth month with these amazingly inspired kits!

OCT-Reveal_Page_header

What I grabbed this month? ‚Antiquary’ Scrapbook Main Kit, ‚Amsterdam’ scrapbook add-on, ‚Rome’ scrapbook add-on, ‚Vienna’ scrapbook add-on and ‚Dublin’ project life add-on.

Main kits and add-on kits are available for purchase at 12:00 am EST on 9/28/2013.
Remember, the links to purchase the Scrapbook, Card, or Project Life kits will not work until this time.
This is an [Only Amsterdam add-on] project. Amazing kit full of brand new ‚Printshop’ collection!!! This ampersant patterned paper totally charmed me with its colours! I used a lot of watercolours here, add some gold glitter and lovely vellum die-cut shapes. In the end of my work I sticked these adorable wood veneer hearts and ampersant stamps. I adore every little piece of this project – specialy the photo of the cutest little sisters 🙂
Sisters
This is a horrible hour to wake up, but this year my son started his primary school education so we have to wake up at 6 a.m. Every morning we are so sleepy and there is no ruch in the air – nobody wants to go outside 🙂 I took this photo during one of such mornings. The composition of this project is very simple, but I add some interesting add-ons like hand drawn clock, and coloured ‚pencil’ shape stamp. I coloured the ‚6’ using Black Precision Pen 05 and added a neon yellow stripe made with smooth brush on a patterned paper from the latest ‚Printshop’ line.
Wake up at 6 am
This is all about crazy colour palette. I tried something new with the construction also. I played with these fancy triangles cuted from the patterned paper from the main ‚Antiquary’ scrapbook kit. My main inspiration was the dress of my lovely girls resting in the hammock. I encourage you to look at the close-ups photos to get the details of watercolour actions.
Best day EVER
I know – this one looks so simmilar to the first project in my gallery this month, but you will understand me when you will receive your SC box with this amazing ‚Printshop’ ampersant patterned paper from the ‚Amsterdam’ add-on… I am so in love with these colours! I couldn’t resist myself and in the end of my this month’s work I decided to create one more layout using this paper adn watercolours. It was a pure pleasure and I hope you see this when you are looking at this LO.
live
As you can see I made a lot of layouts this month, I killed the kits! I used every single detail – that’s why the last project is so different. This is kind of composition play. I was inspired by an old layout which I saw a year ago somewhere in the internet, I don;t remember the title and the author, but I remember a piece of composition constructed with numbers in such crazy way as you can see below. I tried to combine something simmilar, using hard contrast, vibrant red colour and in the oposition to these – soft photo. This is just a clean & simple experiment, but I hope you will feel inspired to use every detail you have in your kit.
2o13
It was the first part of my October’s gallery, the bright one. Later I will show you the second, bigger part where you will find more subtle, pale palettes combined with ‚Antiquary’ kits.
I send you lots of sunny kisses from Madrid where I am teaching mixed-media classes right now!

Look for it to hit stores in mid to late October – visit Studio Calico shop and hit „notify me!” on your favorite items so you’ll get an email as soon as they come in!

Because I get some ‚Printshop!’ items in my October ‚Antiquary’ kits, I was able to prepare a layout with these amazing goodies! Below you will find only a few ‚Printshop!’ vellum die-cuts and one wood veneer star, but in my October projects there will be much more of other ‚Printshop!’ supplies!

Perfectly IMPERFECT

The layout is about my favourite hairdo for the summer, but the weather in Poland is soooooo fallish, that’s why I decided to use those colours here. Turquoise and orange are always my first choice when I’m thinking about autumn mood…

perfectly1

The main reason why I made this layout was… Letterpress!!! Finally every little piece of this magical technique came to my place (thank you so much Studio Calico and Celine Navarro!!!). So when you start looking for the details you will find some letterpressed elements here and there…

perfectly2

I used two of my favourite plates: Magic by Kal Barteski and Triangles by Marcy Penner :***

perfectly3

Other supplies are coming from ‚That-A-Way’, ‚Atlantic’ and ‚Storytime’ collections by Studio Calico (of course). Well – this is not my best project ever for sure, but I think that it’s ‚perfectly imperfect’ :)))

If I would be a PL scrapbooker…

What would happen if I was a Proejct Life crafter? How my spreads could look like? Where is a secret of the PL success? Why so many people love this kind of scrapbooking – I had know idea, that’s why I decided to try. I was so curious how it works, where is the magic. I thought that I could make a layout inspired by the typical PL spread composition. I made the first one (using Studio Calico October kits) and then I liked it so much and made the second one – this time using Studio Calico new lines! It takes houres for me to compose such layout with all the details, journaligs (which I hate so much; if I could I would write ‚Lorem Impsum’ everywhere in these journaling areas…). I compose only two photos in this „spread”, but you can also find hidding notes, vellum envelope for secred message, some watercolour and gesso actions. There is ‚ME’ on the ‚PL LO’ 🙂

do you like autumn

These are the colours on this year autumn for me. Amazingly warm (but sweet) palette which I will be using a lot during this fall season. If you also like it a lot, you can find many papers and embellishments in the latest Studio Calico ‚That-A-Way’ collection.

do you1

What you can find on this close up is: my totally favourite ‚That-A-Way’ printable by ‚In a Creative Bubble’, lovely ‚That-A-Way’ die-cut Feathers and ‚That-A-Way’ Chalkboard Stickers 12×12 (alphas and icons).

do you2

Here we have this lovely vellum envelope from ‚That-A-Way’ Kraft and Vellum envelopes set and adorable ‚That-A-Way’ tiny alpha stickers. I didn’t use any watercol, ours just three, new lovely shades of Mister Huey’s mists from ‚That-A-Way’ line: Double Yellow, Sky, Canyon.

do you3

I didn’t forget about patterned papers. From ‚That-A-Way’ line I used: ‚Road Map‚, 12×12 Paper Pad and ‚Fables‚ from Storytime.

do you4

I hope you like my idea and this lovely SC new collection. I can;t wait to share with you with the second ‚PL LO’ proejct, but I have to wait till September 27th till reveal October’s reveal. Don’t forget the Studio Calico shop because there are a lot of new items!!!
